Hi folks!

Just a line to let you know what is happening on the Jefferson County Site. Because of the sheer number of soldiers in 8 different units, I have had to rework the Civil War section to make it load faster! I have separated the 2 pages I had there into 10 pages.
One for each of the 8 units and 1 for all unit listings and 1 miscellaneous document page.

78,000 Mississippians served in the Civil War and quite a few were from Jefferson County! 59,000 of those men were wounded or killed.
I would love to have a record of who was wounded or injured for Jefferson!

I would especially like to thank Sue Moore for all of her interest and contributions to the Civil War Section! Because of her, I think we have the best County Civil War pages around! Everyone should tell Sue thank you!

I plan on adding photos to the unit pages as they are sent to me. If you had an ancestor in any of the units and there is a photo available of him, let me know and I will be happy to put it up!

I have also almost completed the marriage database for Jefferson! Only have "W" to go!

PLEASE remember: Some of the Civil War Units and some of the marriage pages will still take a little while to load because of the number of names on the lists. (Before I split the Civil War pages it was over 5MB on the soldiers page alone!)

Thanks for all your help!
