Ann,
You asked for the names of those from Jefferson Co. who were killed or wounded in the Civil War.

Pvt. Thomas Jefferson Cogan, son of David S. and Mary A. Cogan, of the Jefferson Flying Artillery, also called Harper's Artillery, enlisted 3 April 1861 at Fayette, was killed at the Battle of Chickamauga, which I think was fought in Georgia in Sept. 1863. He was about 20 when he died. He was a nephew of my gg grandmother, Martha Cogan Stuart.
