Claude Stewart Geoghegan

Feb. 15, 1917 - May 9, 2004

NATCHEZ - Services for Claude Stewart Geoghegan, 87, of West Monroe, La.,
formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at St. Francis Specialty
Hospital in Monroe, La., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Union
Street Chapel with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.

Services are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.

Visitation is from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Geoghegan was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Fayette, the son of Claude Stewart and
Rennie Vaughn Geoghegan Sr.

He was a retired Engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad.

Mr. Geoghegan was preceded in death by his parents; one special daughter,
Billie Martin; two brothers, Earl and Archie Geoghegan; two former wives, Anna
Mary Geoghegan and Elizabeth Geoghegan.

Survivors include one daughter, Ann Webb and her husband, Fred of West Monroe;
son-in-law, John Robert Jones of Baton Rouge, La.; grandson, John David Jones
and his wife, Michelle of Addis, La.; two granddaughters, Julia Ann Jones of
Baton Rouge and Dawn Eileen Kelm and her husband, Allan of Houston, Texas; five
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia Magee and her husband, Robert of
Caseyville and Rennie Geoghegan of Fayette; one brother, Donald Geoghegan and
his wife, Mary of Fayette; and several nieces and nephews.
