Hello,
My ggg grandmother was Laura Fitzpatrick born 22 Feb 1826 in Jefferson
County, MS daughter of Thomas Fitzpatrick and Martha Blanton. This Thomas may have
been the superior court judge who was involved in the arrest of Aaron Burr for
treason in Jefferson or Adams County. Thomas was also in the Franklin
Society in Jefferson County. These Fitzpatricks may have come from Kentucky or
somewhere in that direction. Laura Fitzpatrick married James Gillam Wood (Jr.)
and they lived in Church Hill, Jefferson County and both may have died in 1864.
James and Laura had numerous children and their daughter Juliet Morton Wood
(Allein) was my gg grandmother born 1832. I have no information on the
Fitzpatricks/Blantons other than this but would like to find other descendants of
these families.
