My great great grandmother and grandfather's certainly do as well as my great grandmother's and great grandfather's.

No they would not list parents names unless either was under age at the time of
marriage. Then there would be a notation that she married with the permission
of her father (or mother). Sometimes you can get a clue from who posted the
marriage bond. Usually it was a relative of either the bride or the groom.
