Hi, Just a note on William "L" Gunnells marrying Sally Folk or Polk

Now, the L could be a typo or incorrect, but you might try looking
in the Catahoula Louisiana Census for 1880 --which I just checked
quickly for you, and found a Sallie Gunnells living with B Gunnells
21 born MS and has step children Folk --so it is a mystery --maybe he
was going by a nickname, when they read the census. She was married
before to Folk so couldn't find that marriage in Catahoula so
although she was born in LA, her parents were from GA according to
the census. I also checked the Jefferson Co. MS census for 1860 and
none listed born near that time frame. Sorry not more help. Maybe
try following from the Folk side in Catahoula on their list and see
if anyone has info.
