What dates do you have for Charles Norris Montgomery. If you have the approximate birth date, I believe that I have the information that you are seaching for. Also, who is your sister-in-law?
Ann B. From Red Lick (Jefferson County)

Jim and Ann, I am researching Montgomery lines in the area for my sister-in-law and have run into a set of M M initials and he married Fannie Dixon in Claiborne Co. in 1867 and so far I have not been able to get a set of parents for him. Could he possibly have been Andrew and Mary's child?? The oldest child of M M and Fannie Dixon Montgomery was named Charles Norris Montgomery. I simply have not been able to get to Fayette and Port Gibson to do some local research.
Any help appreciated. M M died by 1875 so records are few for him besides the 1870 census when he just marriedand they lived in the Brandywine area of Clairborne Co. His widow remarried and moved to Copiah Co. or he had moved there before he died. Not sure which.
Sister-in-law's Montgomery lines ended up in Fayette area Thanks
Kay
