In the book, The First 100 Years of the Pine Springs Community" on pages
93- 95 there is a discussion of the descendants of the settler John H.
Brown..who "fought in the Alabama Indian Wars of 1813 before he came to
settle in Lauderdale County". One of them is Fanny Mary who married Francis
Asbury Lane and moved to Lake, MS to raise cotton. There are numerous references
to the descendants of this settler. That book is for sale and is available
from the Lauderdale Co. Archives from this website. These Browns are not
related to my line.
