Lauderdale County has a wonderful county archive located across the street
from the courthouse (courthouse annex) on the 2nd floor. There is usually
someone there M-F ?8-4 to help you. The Meridian Public Library has the
usual "library type info" newspaper records, microfilm, some reference
books, etc. They are open M-TH 9-9 and 9-6 on F-Sat. The County Archives
has lots of family histories and church histories as well. Court house
records are also available there. Email me for driving directions, or telephone
numbers for either of these resource centers.
