Subject: Need help with MS LOTT line

William LOTT was in Hinds County, MS, in 1860. He fought in the Civil War,
and was either killed or died of illness - I have not been able to
establish which. His children Martin Luther LOTT and Josephine (Josie)
LOTT were in the Confederate Orphanage in Lauderdale County, MS in 1870 for
that census, and were home with their mother, Pauline, in Rankin County
for the census there. Their mother died of cancer in 1880.
I have not been able so far to find a connection for William to any LOTT
line in the area, or find a maiden name for Pauline. Would love to
find other descendants of - or information about - these elusive ancestors
of my grandchildren through William and Pauline's second son, Martin Luther
LOTT!
