Judy, I have added your email addy to my new computer. I will keep this so I can send you any more finds on the Hendersons.
I do keep an eye out for them when we work these cemeteries in Lauderdale Co. Be sure you check the web page to see what we have added. I would like to go to Porterville this fall. I am sure there are many people up there we need to know about.
Tyree may be in a grave in someone's yard. He could have died in Texas as you think and they just "planted" him where he was.
Every day I hear of another cemetery being covered over, dug up and moved or just dumped. There should be some rules to follow with these old cemeteries but I cannot find a law in MS. The UPS man told David he saw a driveway lined with grave markers. We will check this out soon.
Also, the old Fisher Cemetery for the slaves was dug up and is now Mr. Robinson's sidewalk. The cemetery here where I live was said to have been used to make a dog kennel. The stones were used as floor or something. I have some people lined up to help dig and search for this this fall. A shame that people are lost like this.
I am rambling on. Sorry.
Elizabeth
