Would love to get with you regarding Wilbur Fisk Harris and his military service--
Something of interest, my husbands gggrandfather was Dr. Newell Menefee Williams and he was a surgeon during the civil war---He too is buried at Ebenezer and one of the few that still has a marker to locate his grave. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the cemetery but most of the grave markers were destoryed several years ago. I don't know where Wilbur is buried in the cemetery. I had heard for years that he and his wife were buried in this cemetery but of course no proof until a few years back when a death record was located that indicated his body was removed for burial at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tate Co., MS---
Feel free to contact me direct if you think you can help me or if interested.---
Oh yes in regard to the original query on William J. Bowen---I found an obit for his sister, Caledonia in 1884 which refers to a brother living, Rev. J. A. Bowen. I am assuming this refers to James Bowen who was listed on the census with this family-----Have you heard of him????
