I checked the Social Security Death Index for Lillie Treadwell in
Mississippi, and the only results were:

Lillie Treadwell, b. 10 Sep 1909, death date Oct 1984, Calhoun City, Calhoun
County, Mississippi

Since this didn't match the birthdate of 1887 you gave, I tried the SSDI
again searching for any Treadwell, Soundex (all possible spellings), and any
birth or death date----only in Marshall County, MS. None came up to match.
In fact, George V. didn't come up in any sort of search I could imagine,
even searching for George V. or George in MS with no last name.

Just to see if I could come up with any other search criteria, I checked the
census results for 1920, and found George V. and Lillie S., with family in
Civil District 12, Fayette County, Tennessee. Lillie is 32 years old, making
her birth ca. 1888, born in MS, father b. MS, mother b. MS. Then the 1930
census shows George V. and Lillie C. (different middle initial) living "next
door" on census page to Eugene and Mattie, this time living in District 2,
Lamar (township?), Benton County, Mississippi.

I checked Benton Co.'s website for any obit abstraction from newspapers,but
found nothing. I checked Marshall Co.'s site, but there were only a few
listings for obits, and nothing on Treadwell.

Do you know where she was living when she died? If she was with a child in
another county or state, you might try that location's website for obit
indices.

Sorry I couldn't help. Maybe someone in the Marshall County area will have
more for you.
