I would love to have my great grandfather, James T Jones. He was born CA 1840. During the Civil War he was with the Newton Rifles - who fought under Gen Robert E Lee. Jones was wounded in the right lung during the battle of Chancellorville but survived. After a few weeks in a hospital in Richmond he was furloughed to go home. I don't know what happened to him from that time until the end of the war. He did not get married until after the war.

I know a fair amount about the ancestory of his first and second wife - but very litttle about the Jones ancestory - would love to ask questions about his father, what they did in AL before moving to Newton, etc. His youngest son, my grandfather Oscar Octavius Jones was his eighth child - just wondering if that is why he gave Oscar that middle name.

I would also like to invite my uncle, James Cecil Jones who died in WWII on Luzon Island, in the Philiapines. Being a youngster of only 56 I never got to know him but have found a lot about him. He was in First Cav, 12th Regiment - he was a Browing Automatic Rifleman during his days of combat. He received a Bronze Star but I don't know any details of the award.
