Joe,

I checked the 1880 census index on the CD's, and these are the only
Julia McSwains listed. The first place is the place of birth, the
second is the place of census. The year listed is the approximate year
of birth.

MCSWAIN, JuliaWife<1861>FWNCNC
MCSWAIN, Julia A.SDau<1871>FWNCNC

In case the name may have been spelled incorrectly, I checked for all
Julias born in a 5 yr period of 1876, and whose surnames started with M.
There are some McLains and McIlwains listed. Do you have any idea where
Julia was born? Maybe that could narrow the search.

I am looking for the Parents of Julia McSwain, born June 26, 1876 and
died
Dec. 22, 1919. She married Rankin T. McCardle, born Feb. 18, 1874 and
died
Oct. 29, 1960. They had the following Children: Lena, born May 14,
1904; Mary Lee, born Jan 16, 1901; Clifton, born abt. 1908 and Emma,
born
abt. 1912. Any information will be appreciated.
