I am researching the Josiah Thomas family found next door to the families of Isaac Hollingsworth and John Hollingsworth on the Scott County, Ms 1860 census. We know from the Madison county will of Jacob Hollingsworth, father of Isaac and John, that Jacob died about 1852 leaving his wife, Sarah Hogg Hollingsworth.
In the Josiah Thomas household lives an 85 year old Sarah Hogg b. abt 1775 Georgia. I'm interested to know if any Hollingsworth researchers consider it possible that this Sarah Hogg is somehow related to the Hollingsworth family. Is it further possible that she is the widow of Jacob Hollingsworth, having reverted to her maiden name? The wife of Josiah Thomas is reported to be Mary Kelly b. abt 1830 Alabama. Does anyone know of a Thomas or Kelly connection to this particular Hollingsworth family?
