Hi Jan,
The white Woulards spell our name with one L.
We are not doubting the black Woulard/Woullard are related to the Woulards
of Wayne County, Mississippi thru the
white male Woulards.
What we doubt is out of all the white Woulard men in the Woulard families
they can name Benjamin F. Woulard as their ancestor's father. When not only
was the papa Simeon, the sons Benjamin and John, there were grandsons,
cousins and nephews. Not to mention there were two Benjamin the papa and
Benjamin the son, that lived in Eret, Mississippi , Wayne County.
So yes, there is white blood running thru the mulattos down to today's
generations.
But I do not see how they can connect this one mulatto Jerry Woulard as the
son of Benjamin F. Woulard and able to claim my grandpapa without any proof.
There has never been first names involved only with a black man who was born
in about 1924 who claims he saw old man Woulard sitting on the porch of his
house. The last white Woulard that lived in Wayne County, Mississipi died in
1914.
before Prince Woullard was born.
