Sorry the Tooth and the Cookie bit was for Cindy Nelson. Guess my tooth is
bothering my head more than I thought!!!!!

For looking for information check and see what the Mormon's have filmed. I
have found a lot of information at Salt Lake City Family History Center . I
hope a lot of the missing information was already copied. I do know that
they must have copied more in the last couple of years in Tishomingo Co.,
as there were new films on Land Deeds this year and other some subjects. Go
to http://www.familysearch.org/

I wish that all the Cities, Counties and States, Churches and organizations
would invited the Mormons to film their records before dumping them. I had
forgotten to look at Alcorn Co. when in Salt Lake City. I will do so since
Cindy Nelson told me that many of the records were taken to Alcorn Co. If
you have a Family History Center anywhere near you, you can order a film for
a small fee and they will send it with in a couple of weeks to the center
for you to view. I like to go to Salt Lake City once a year because you
feel like you are in a Genealogy Gold Mine. They may not have the answer
to everything but there are a lot of answers at the Family History Center
and more information arriving every working day. No I am not Mormon but do
Appreciate greatly what I have learned the last eight years by doing a lot
of my research in their Family History Centers.

We really need to thank the wonderful workers in not only the Tishomingo Co.
Mississippi Historical Society but also the workers in Historical Societies
across the world that are helping to preserve our family histories. I have
been looking at some other area sites on the Computer and Boy I have found I
am lucky to have Tishomingo Co., Mississippi, Blount Co., Alabama, Jefferson
Co., Alabama and some of the other areas in Alabama. There are so many
Counties that information are really skimpy

Cindy advised you to join the Tishomingo Co., Mississippi Historical &
Genealogical Society. 204 N. Main Street, Iuka, MS 38852. You are
missing something if you haven't. It is worth every penny and more. You
certainly get more than the $15.00 it cost a year. The four issues a year of
Chronicles & Epitaphs that is included in your yearly membership is getting
better with every issue!!!! The Publications that they have for sale that
I have are as follows: The History and Family Book is very well done. The
new 1900 Census book is every bit what they said it would be. The Cemetery
book was well worth its price. I found a beautiful picture of a Great,
Great Aunt and Family (the LENTZ FAMILY) in the Families of Alcorn County
Mississippi Vol. II, Our family has The Tishomingo County Pictorial History
at the Glenn Ranch where we hold our Glenn Family Reunions for people to
look at in Caprock New Mexico. These are just the books I have and there
are more. Thanks you Worker Bees for giving your time to work with us and
for helping preserve our families history. We Appreciate your hard work.

Good Hunting and God Bless
Hugs,

Placentia, Orange Co., California

Robert Washington and Mary Jane Moore GLENN, John and Jane MOORE, Amos Y.
and Eudoxia Kezia HALLMARK and Martha Elizabeth BONDS AMERSON and allied
families. I also have SALYERS, CORNELIUS, WALKER and MC DONALD connections.
My extension of these families left Tishomingo Co., Mississippi by 1905 to
join the many of the other members of these families in Jones County, Texas
then on to Lea Co., New Mexico, with my father ending up in Sunny Southern
California in 1927.
