Kathy,
What is the URL to the old site. I have a site that looks at old URL's
and provides the data that was copied from it. Let's see if his is
copied.

Subject: [MSWILKIN] Re: Robin White --Robert White
Hello, Dave.
I descend from Robert/"Robin's first wife Mary Hux
(through Benjamin White and Fredonia Smith),
whom he had married before c1783 in what was then
probably called Camden District, SC.
(I have never been able to locate their SC marriage record.
If anybody has a better date for their marriage,
I would really appreciate receiving the information.)
Robert White, Jr., one of the sons of Robin and Mary,
was supposed to have been a bachelor.
If he was, as we think, one of their younger sons,
then, according to the 1800 Kershaw District., SC Census,
he was probably one of the males under 10, so was born c1790-1800. If he
was their youngest son (=5th, but Kenny Helmer thinks that Thomas was
the youngest son), he was born between 1800-1810, before their move from
SC to Wilkinson Co., since, on their 11 May 1810 Georgia Passport, all
12 of their children had already been born. The final settlement of
Robert, Jr.'s estate, according to the Woodville Republican, was made on
19 April 1834.
We have from Casey's Amite County, Mississippi, 1699-1865,
Vol. I, p101, that Wilkinson Co. Marriage Book A, p38 has this:
Robert White - Lydia Bolen October 12, 1818 - Bond
so I am interested in finding out the source of the September 18, 1819
marriage date, since I am aware that there are errors in the Casey
volumes. If the October 1818 marriage date is correct, then Mary had
died before that, but we are hoping to find a more specific date for her
death.
A cousin had sent me information she had found on a Family Treemaker
Marriage CD that Lydia Cassels had married Simeon Boland (sic) in April
1810 in Adams Co. and that he had previously married Helen Floyd there
in June 1808. Does anyone have documentation to corroborate these
marriages, and does anyone know the preferred spelling of the
Bolen/Boland surname?
I have been trying to relocate Kenny Helmer's web site on the Huxes and
Whites to be able to go over the birthdates he had for the White
children, but the previous URL no longer works for me. If anyone has
either a current URL or current e-mail address for Kenny, I will
appreciate very much receiving it.
I hope some of this is helpful, but I really have more questions than
I can answer.
