The only Patrick McDERMOTT, b. Ireland that is showing up in Silver Bow Co.
in 1910 is a 26 yr. old living in a boarding house. This looks like it might
be the son, Thomas. His wife is listed as being a mother of 1 child, but
no child is
enumerated in the household -- probably because of this stipulation in the
census questions:

<< The 1910 Census was begun on 15 April 1910. The actual date of the
enumeration appears on the heading of each page of the census schedule, but all
responses were to reflect the individual's status as of 15 April, even if the
status had changed between 15 April and the day of enumeration. For example,
children born between 15 April and the day of enumeration were not to be
listed, while individuals alive on 15 April but deceased when the enumerator
arrived were to be counted. >>

Census year 1910, Patrick MCDERMOTT, also known as "Pat," was about 53 years
of age at time of census. He was born in Co. Sligo, Ireland, married Mary
Maguire in Wigan, England, who was also born in Ireland. They had three
children, Thomas b. 1883 in Wigan, England, emigrated to U.S. 1908, married
Margaret Holland in Butte, died 1955 in Butte. He should also be found in the
1910 census. Second child of Patrick's was Catherine, b. 1886 in Wigan, died in
Wigan 1971; third child James Joseph, b. 1888 in Wigan, England; married
Mary Hannah Henshaw in Wigan, had infant son born 1912 (James Jr.); emigrated to
U.S. 1912 to Butte, Montana. PATRICK resided in Silver Bow County, Montana.
I'm not sure of his date of emigration, so thought I'd start with 1910
census. Thank you.
