I appreciate your reply. No, I hadn't heard from anyone - probably because I didn't give enough information. If I knew WHERE Harriet Butler and Michael Brazil married, that would narrow my search. I did send a detailed request to the Minnesota Lookup. I have both the Montana 1920 and 1930 censuses for them. The 1920 census shows them with four children, the eldest being 10; BUT, I was told the eldest was a chilld of Hattie's - either from a previous marriage, or illigitimate, or the child of her siblings she was raising. His name is Lawrence, was adopted as a Brazil; then George is listed as 4, Vince age 2 and Mary Ellen age 1.

I've never looked at this in that much detail before (I'm just talking out loud now), but if George was four years old, perhaps they were married "about" four years previous to that date. (George was born 18 Sep 1915 - just found it.) Any ideas?

Did you get a reply for this request? My indexes aren't showing any results
for Harriet/Hattie BUTLER or BRAZIL. When sending a request, it's helpful
if you provide more information about the person you're seeking:

--First name and SURNAME (middle initial, if known)
--Year of birth and birthplace (State or Country)
--Spouse's name, age and birthplace
--Names and ages of any known children
--Parent's names, ages, birthplace ( if you're searching for a child)
--County of residence ( if known)

There are several Michael BRAZILs listed in the MN index so you will want to
send your request to that census list. Be sure to include more information
about your persons when you contact that list.
