Saw your post and don't know if I can help or not. My branch of the family comes from Olean, New York. We have been told that we were part Mohawk through Sophia King VanCampen who was my great-great grandmother. She in turn was supposedly related to Sir William Johnston, who was married to a Mohawk, named Molly Brandt. Don't know if this helps or not.
