Subject: [GV] 2 new Wyoming census indexes added, Laramie & Goshen Counties

2 new Wyoming census indexes of Germans from Russia have been added to
the census list. They are for Laramie county and Goshen county.

Gene Jenkins () completed each of these in a day,
they are small by his standards, only a few hundred people each. To put
it in perspective, Gene has indexed 60,000 Germans from Russia! Yes thats
correct, 60,000. Kind of boggles the mind. Combine that with the 4,000
that Janet Laubhan Flickinger indexed, and we are up to 64,000. Since
there were approximately 120,000 Volga Germans in America for the 1920
census according to Richard Sallet, half of the Volga Germans are indexed
here. Wow, I never thought we would get that many.

Here is population table of GRs in the 1920 census form Richard Sallets
book, Russian-German Settlements in the United States.
