Karen....that's very kind of you to check directories! Thank you very much. At this time, I'm not really sure Ernest was in Billings at the time of the 1910 census. He was not in Buffalo with parents & siblings for our NYS census of 1905. I'm currently waiting for a reply from the Paulus archives in Stuttgart, Germany for his date of birth which, so far, is questionable. If that doesn't work, I'll order the 1920 which asked "Age at Last Birthday", as of January when the 1920 began. He and family were not enumerated in 1900 Buffalo. The enumerator did the houses before & after and never went back for this family. I know Ernest was still at home for that one and it would have given me the answer I need.
Thanks again...where would researchers be if there wasn't someone to help from afar!
