Hello, I am looking for information regarding a Bessie Murphy who lived in
Syracuse, NY around 1930. She was the sister of my great grandfather but the
only thing we know about her was that she attended his funeral according to
his obituary. Her maiden name was Yetts and she had a brother James in
northern PA and Frank in NYC. It is believed that all three of them came to
the US, possibly via Canada, from Scotland in the late 1800s. Her full name
may be Elizabeth, Margaret, or Mary. We really don't know much about the
Yetts branch of the family as my great grandfather, James, died young and
never told his wife much about his family. Yetts could also be Yates, Yett,
Yeates, etc. Not sure of the spelling since immigration may simply have
misunderstood Yates, etc. for Yetts due to the Scottish accent.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I currently live in Syracuse
so if any of Bessie's descendents are still local to this area, I would
really like to get in touch with them.
