My Murphy's came from Dublin, Ireland and to Joliet,
IL.

I have an Anna Murphy b. 6/24/1808, Dublin, Ireland
and died October 1889, Joliet, IL.

Anna Murphy and her son Patrick Murphy came to the
U.S. somewhere between 1847 and 1869.

Patrick Murphy was born February 27, 1847, Dubin,
Ireland and died October 11, 1910, Joliet, IL.

Patrick Murphy married Ann Manion from Athlone, County
Roscommon, Ireland on April 29, 1869 in Illinois.

Patrick and Anna had the following children, all born
in Joliet, IL:

Mary Murphy b. July 1871 (never married)
Anna Murphy b. March 1872 (married Raymond Riley)
Elizabeth Murphy b. February 1874 (married Edward
Ward)
Isabelle Murphy b. December 1975 (married Ben Vogel)
Catherine Murphy b. March 1878 (never married)
Loretta Murphy b. January 1880 (never married)
Ellen Murphy b. August 1881 (never married)
John Michael Murphy b. May 1883 (married Helen Mary
Weisbecker)
Alice Murphy b. October 1885 (never married)
James Murphy b. December 1888 (never married)
Frances Murphy b. June 1891 (married John Bannon)
R. Ruth Murphy b. April 1893 (never married)

I would love to share information with anyone. I am
descended from John Michael Murphy & Helen Mary
Weisbecker.

My grandmother once spoke of cousins that used to come
visit from Dublin named Patrick and Liz. Liz was a
school teacher and Patrick drove a trolley/street car.
She believed that Patrick moved to Philadelphia. She
also said that her Murphy family owned a dry goods
store in Dublin.
