Genealogical and Personal History of Fayette County, PA, has a William Murphy b. about on pg 869 has a William Murphy, born in Cambria Co, PA, had a son Jacob b. 1760, so he would have been born about 1840, plus or minus.
William had at least 2 sons: Jacob and William. Jacob had 7 children listed, #7 William b 1805, d 1860
