Notes: James was the oldest of 10 children, the first 4 born in
Tennessee, and the last 6 born in Texas. James and his father were
'involved with the law for harboring a fugiture, one Sam Bass. History says
Jim supposedly died of poison shortly after the capture of Sam Bass & gang
while trying to rob a bank in Round Rock, TX in 1879, but James worked his
farm and ranch until he died in 1917.
