Oops you asked about birthdates for James/John? and Mary. I surmise that
John Murphy was born in Ireland, probably in or near Dublin, probably
between 1805-1815. Mary Anne Buckley, his wife, was born probably in or near
Dublin, probably between 1815 - 1820, which would put her at age 41-46 at
the birth of her youngest child (William, 1861). I've guessed that they were
married after 1832. These are all guesses based on William's birth in 1861
and his being the youngest child--the only facts I KNOW. John Murphy's
occupation is variously given as miller or flour factor. On his son
William's marriage record, John's profession is listed as "corn factor." His
granddaughter recalled that he owned a flour mill in Dublin. More when I get
the Eneclann report. --Aileen
