Hello,

I am new to this list, and I thought that I would attempt to make contact
with my Murphy connection.

My gg-grandmother, named Alice Eliza (or Eliza Alice) Murphy m. James
Hancock Ballard in Kentucky. Alice's parents are Owen Murphy and Susan Mary
Reid.

Alice's siblings are:
James, George, Stephen, Susan, Katherine, and Ann.

Owen Murphy and Susan Mary Reid were married 04-03-1861.

Owen's parents are unknown to us. Family tradition tells us that they died
in Ireland. Owen's siblings are: Edward, Patrick, Ann, Kate, Sarah, and
Mary.

Susan Mary Reid's parents are Alex Reid and Ann Roberston m. 12-16-1870 in
St. Nicholas, Aberdeen, Scotland. Susan Mary Reid's siblings are:
George, John, Eliza, and Margaret.

I hope there is someone out there researching this line that cn help me out!
We don't know where to go from here.
