Lets talk about this Murphy family. I have a Jeremiah Murphy b abt 1772 (say
from Ireland) d unknown m Sarah Goodwin 7 Jan 1794 in Bourbon Co., KY
Children are:
Moses b ca 1795 KY d 2 Dec 1860 in Maynolia Twp, Putnam co., Ill m Sarah
(unknown last name) abt 1816
Jeremiah b ca 1797
John b ca 1805
James b ca 1809
William b ca 1811
Thomas b ca 1813
There are possibly 4 daughters of Jeremiah and Sarah Goodwin Murphy but can
not fine them. This is not proven yet and don't know for sure if my Moses b
ca 1795 is a son of this Jeremiah Murphy. I'm pretty sure he is but don't
have the prove yet.
After Jeremiah and Sarah Goodwin Murphy's marriage they were living in
Fayette Co., KY. About 1806 the family moved to Dearborn co., Indiana.
While there Jeremiah, obtained a license for owing a tavern. I would like to
find the papers on this tavern.
If anyone has any leads on this family it would be greatly appreciated.
