I hope somebody out there can help. I've been trying to search my husband's
Murphy line, but not having any luck. They know very little about his Murphys.
Nobody in his family has ever met and Murphy family member past his grandfather.
His grandfather never met his father. He is all we know: Oleed Murphy Jr.
b. 12-31-25 married Vernice Bellard, Oleed Murphy Sr. b. 3-15 1907 d. 7-8-1957
married Rose Simon, Manuel M. Murphy b. about 1882 married Artemas Vincent
1902, married Della Fontent ( born Dubois)1930, Elmiza Leger (born Mouton)
1933. All marriages happen in Lake Charles Louisiana. Oleed Jr. was born
here also. Not sure about the rest. On Manuel's marriages his father is
stated as John Murphy. His mother's name is hard to make out but looks
almost like 2 different names. One looks like Ahelive Forret Thompson (1933),
Verliner Foret Murphy (1930). The marriage record for 1902 marriage was
lost when our court house burned down in 1910. We have no idea where Manuel
was from, if he was born here in the U.S. or another country. Please help
if you can. Thanks!!
