?? I too, am looking high and low for my Murphy's.? My great-grandfather's name was James Murphy, born in 1821 in Graig, Kilkenny, where he was a dairyman.? He married a Bridget Kavanagh, born in 1823 also from Graig, Kilkenny, & they had 16 children, 11 of whom lived, and one became my great-grandmother, Johannah Mary Murphy, who emigrated to USA in 1899. She met and married James J. Ryan also of Graig, Kilkenny in 1907 and they had 6 children, one of who became my grandmother, Josephine Mary Ryan.? Beyond that about Bridget and James is not much more I know. But I claim my Murphy bloodline through and through.? There are more of us out there than I thought -- welcome to you!!
