So much information on this thread, which vaguely ties to my research, I
thought I should reply:

My maiden name is Elbert and we have many John Elberts in our tree, one of
which was born 1863 IL (I have no additional information on his marriage or
decendents); he was son of Noah Elbert b. 1826 OH & Elizabeth Reynolds Elbert
b.1824 PA. Noah was a son of George C. and Margaret Elbert in VA. I have verbal
family information that the Elberts were originally from MD but have not tied
the tree back to MD. In ADDITION, my Grandfather was John Clement Elbert b.
1889 OH, married Clara "Mae" MURRAY in early 1914 IA; my father George Edward
Elbert b. Dec 1914 IA. Mae died shortly after he was born - in early 1915.
At this time, I have NO information on the Murray line.
