Hello Susie Gouer Ball, I am not sure how we tie in except my Great Grandfathers father, as my dad tells me was Maurice Queen, born in Virginia, as was my great grandfather. He, came to Fort Scott, Kansas. That is where my Grandfather Bunice Thornton Queen "Shorty" or "B.T." was born. My Great gradfather lived to be 101years 1 month and four days. He died in 1974. My grandfather had eight brother, I believe. I did not know most of them, but I knew Slim Queen, Sheriff of Bourbon County, Kansas, Howard a Farmer and builder, Walter, who is still alive in Wichita, and electrician, and Ray, who died very young as my great granmother did. Right now I need to talk with dad and write all the names and things down. My cousin in Washington State, Loren Queen traced the family, but he's a lot younger than me and I know he traced it to Charles MacQueen, arriving 1750.
I would love to hear stories of Charles Sr., French and indian War?
Revolutionary war? That kind of thing and anything else. I am happy to find out I'm a Scot. Wouldn't like it any other way. My mother's family were French Heugonots, in Kentucy and West Virginia. I also found out, my wife and I, Nancy Call maiden name may be distant cousins. Not first cousins like in Arkansas though.
There was a Nelly Call I saw on one cite, and that rang a bell with her dad. That is the extent of my confused knowledge, on the facts. Chris Queen
