Sorry to take so long getting back. I was following a lead that didn't pan out. Here's a quick time line:

Joseph Clark Wolf (J C Wolf, Clark Wolf, C Wolf, Wolf(e))

1856 (11/10) born Ohio (as per death cert)

1883 (10/24) married Nellie King - Colo. marriage license (J C Wolf )

1885 birth of Wallace - colorado

1888 birth of William - colorado

1890 birth of Earl - colorado

1890 death of Nellie - colorado

1890 (11/27) married Mary Weaver (J. Clark Wolf)- marriage license

1892 birth of Rachel - colorado

1892 birth of Lola - colorado

1897 birth of Jessie - oklahoma

1900 Clark Wolf in Umatilla Ct. Oregon - federal census

1905 C Wolf in Neosho, Kansas - Kansas census

1910 Clark Wolf in Ellis ct. Kansas - federal census

1917 (1/30) Clark Wolf deceased - Kansas - death cert. signed by son William....pertinent information unknown.

Somewhere in the later part of his life I believe I also found traces of him in Missouri but the above is the main information as to his whereabouts.
