Goldie Loraine Beare
Peacock Gap resident

Longtime San Rafael resident Goldie Loraine Beare died Thursday at age
83.

Born in Fortuna, Humboldt County, Beare was a registered nurse.

She served as president of the Peacock Gap Homeowners Association and took
an interest in New Age spirituality.

She baked a wonderful lime pie and loved to cook.

Beare is survived by her companion Lev Nork; a son, Robert Beare of Spokane;
and two daughters, Susan Gantz of Oakton, Va., and Robin Beare of Carmel
Valley.

A memorial service is today at 6 p.m. at Community Congregational Church
of Belvedere Tiburon. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
