Hi, I am new to the list and need a bit of help in finding an ancestor. The
only information I have is that he was a Master Mariner in 1856, as stated
on his son Thomas's marriage certificate. I assume he would be between 40
or 50 years old then. The address on the marriage certificate was South
Blyth and the parish was Earsdon. I have tried the 1881 census for Earsdon
but could not find him. I do not know his wife's name.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, this is my first mariner and I
am quite excited to find out more about him!
