Hello,

I am new to this list and am researching my Grandfather JOHN SMITH, he was born in West Hartlepool Cleveland England in 1864 he gained his Certificate of Competency as a First Class Engineer in 1890, I know he worked for The Morkwa Gold Estates in Imbrain West Africa dredging for gold, in 1915 he bought 200 shares in the company costing 10/- (50p sterling).
I think he sailed in and out of Hartlepool during his time and possibly the docks in London as he and my grandmother were married in London not far from there.

Could anyone tell me where I may find any information on Morkwa Gold Estates, I have tried Companies House in London but have had no luck.
