I have checked out the references - they were to the strictly
confidential print of ship movements and casualties that LL produced
during WW1, separate from the published paper, which excluded such info.

While RUNIC may indeed have been mainly trooping UK-Australia, she made
two US calls in 1918. Here is the sequence:

22 Mar sld Sydney
28 Mar cld Wellington
28 Apr arr New York
30 Apr arr Norfolk
3 May ashore Hampton Roads, for Halifax with cargo
7 May refloated unassisted
24 May arr London
4 Jun sld
18 Jun arr Boston
29 Jun sld
3 Jul arr Halifax
5 Jul sld
15 Jul arr Liverpool
[and then back to Australia]
