Subject: [Mar] DEATH AT SEA
Date: Tue, 3 Apr 2001 18:00:56 EDT
Hello List,
I recently posted a message asking for help on locating an ancestor who
probably died at sea in the very early 1800s ie. between 1801 and 1809. A
reply that I received suggested that it would be helpful if I posted his
details so here goes. His name was William CORNISH and he was a seaman aboard
HMS Triton with a home port of Plymouth; he was certainly alive in 1801 and
dead before 1809 - or so I assume, though I suppose 4 x gt Granny could have
been a bigamist.......Any suggestions how or where I could look to find his
death?
Regards,
Jennifer
