Info on Shore Bases and Establishments (static ships).
HMS VICTORY II, Shorebase, Crystal Palace/Sydenham, training Depot for Royal
Navy Divisions.
HMS GLORY (1899) , Auxilliary Patrol Depot ship, "Canopus" class battleship.
Commissioned as A/P Depot ship 1st August 1916, Port Murman, White Sea 1st.
October 1916., 12th. October 1919 arrived Rosyth to Pay Off, 1st November
1919., refitted and re-commissioned as Depot ship Rosyth. 16th. March 1920,
rename HMS CRESCENT, 1st. May 1920. sold December 1922.
HMS DIDO (1896), Submarine Depot ship, "Eclipse" class cruiser, converted to
submarine Depot ship.,
Converted to submarine depot ship 1912., 1914 Destroyer Depot ship.
for your time period1914 - 1st March 1919 10th. Destroyer Flotilla Depot
ship, Harwich (replaced by HECLA).
1919 - 1926 Reserve Destroyer Depot ship, Portsmouth. Care and Maintenance
22nd February 1926, sold 16th December 1926.
HMS VICTORY III, Portsmouth, Accounting base.
HMS DRYAD, Shorebase, Portsmouth. Navigation and Direction School.
HMS ALRESFORD "Aberdare" class minesweeper as tender to HMS DRYAD.
HMS BEE (1915), Head Quarters ship, Yangste. River Gunboat. January 1922 -
August 1928 (at least).
HMS GNAT (1915) "Insect" class River gunboat, attached to HMS BEE (same
class).
HMS GREENWICH (1915), Destroyer Depot Ship,
For your time period, Base ship at Rosyth, Commissioned 16th. August 1927,
arrived Rosyth 3rd September 1927 - 1st. June 1938.
(Sold 11th. July 1946).
HMS VERNON Shorebase /Training Establishment. Torpedo School, Portsmouth.
HMS VICTORY, Naval Baracks, Portsmouth.
No CLOVERHOUSE listed as shore/ship, possibly this :
HMS CLAVERHOUSE. Leith/ Edinburgh, Reserve Drill ship/base. Commissioned
16th. December 1922, name chosen as compliment to Marquis of Graham, was to
have been St. ANDREW.
Name selected for shore base at commercial Port of Leith 1st September
1939. By 22nd September 1939 in use as Base for Leith and Granton. By April
1940 Reserve training ceased and was in use for Merchant Navy Defence
Courses. Base Paid Off 15th August 1945.
HMS LOCHINVAR. Port Edgar/ Granton. Detroyer/ Minesweeper Base.

Destroyer Depot, moved ashore from COLUMBINE September 1917., land purchased
(Port Edgar), October 1920. To Care and Nauntenance 1929 - 191930. Mine
sweeper training base from Portland, Commissioned 21st. November 1939.,
Operational Mine sweeper base January 1941. Moved to Granton and
Commissioned
25th October 1943., returned Port Edgar 1st March 1946. October 1943 -
March 1946 Port Edgar was renamed HOPETOUN.
