Hello Carole,
May I suggest that "EURILUS" is HMS Euryalus. If Flag Ship, then
it would have been quite appropriate for KGV (reigned 1910-1936)
to be aboard.
Best regards,

Would there be a difference in service standard between the first 3 ships
and the flag ship, which was supposed to have King George V aboard? Would
the flag ship come under the 'merchant navy' heading? If they were merchant
navy ships, am I right in thinking that they would not have been involved in
'action'?

what life would have been like for this man.
