Hi there

Is someone able to find any information regarding my grandfather,
William
Beastall WILKINSON born in Sheffield or advise me where I can obtain
some information please.

His last ship was the CECILE in 1930 and prior to that the BOMBALA,
PARATTAH, HOBSONS BAY where I believe he was Master. He also had an
Extra Master obtained in 1915 in Melbourne.

I am trying to find out as much info as I can and whether he was on any
other ships after the CECILE. There is a number after it but don't what
it signifies (106474) - 23 Sep 1930 (Ct EI). Went from Melbourne to
Marseilles in France.

I have not been able to establish where he died but was born in
Sheffield, joined the Merchant Marines in 1891 from Stockport. Married
in Melbourne Victoria, Australia in 1911 and joined the RAN. Certainly
got around. Last address I have is Wallesley (1929).
