Hello Joni
Further to the earlier e-mail from yourself, worth trying:-

They keep the records for the ship owner records for the Hain Company, also possibly the "St. Ives Times" may be able to assist. Don't have any contact details for them.

Hi, Jim and Christine!
My immigrant ancestors were from the St. Ives/Gulval/Breage area. My ggg.grandfather, Henry Nichols/Nicholls, immigrated in 1847 and settled initially in Mineral Point, Iowa Co., WI as did many Cornish miners. He sent for his wife, Elizabeth Richards Nichols/Nicholls and their seven children the following year. They then moved to a farm in British Hollow, Grant Co., WI. I would be very interested in learning more about St. Ives and the surrounding community especially in the shipping history since I am trying to locate Henry's passenger ship records. I'm not certain of the port of arrival in the U. S., but I do know that he arrived in 1847. Any info. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
