Hi Patrick

The only R02 I can find in my own database is the destroyer ZEST, when
she was commissioned, which no doubt became an "F" something, in later
years, when she was an ASW frigate, which probably rules her out.

According to the Hazegrey site, which seems more interested in recording
pennant nos. than most sites:

http://www.hazegray.org/navhist/carriers/uk_index.htm

R2 was ILLUSTRIOUS, until changed to R87 under the NATO designation
system, which probably rules her out ?

So regret not a lot of help

Paul
