I have a photo dating back to the 1st WW of my grandfather in Royal Navy uniform with the name of his ship on his capband. The only letters I can make out are PALAT - there seem to be another 2 or 3 letters following this but I cannot make them out. He lived in Glamorgan (Morriston) - whether his ship went out of Glamorgan I have no idea. If anyone could suggest which ship he was on I would be thrilled to bits!! I have searched the maritime history site and some others with no result
