I am trying to establish more info about the convoys my father (who recently died) sailed on to/from Freetown. I have managed to obtain from his papers the following:-

Outward - sailed from Liverpool October 1941 on Norwegian Cargo Ship "San Andres", stopped en route at Bathhurst - arrived Freetown 6 weeks after leaving Liverpool

Inward - sailed from Freetown on a Liner bound for Liverpool. Arrived Liverpool 7th September 1943 (? took 10 days to sail?)
