Peter,
In addition to the references Ted has given 'Sea Breezes' magazine for
December 1956 has an article on National Line but doesn't add to the history
of the "Holland" during your period of interest. I can copy for you if you
wish. My own interest in National Line stems from the fact that my
Great-Grandfather was Second Mate of the "Erin" when she sailed from New
York on 31 December 1889 and disappeared. Apparently considerable
litigation followed her loss but depite spending hours in Liverpool Library
and the Maritime Museum there I could only find passing references to her
loss in the local papers of the day.
