Should have added.
Launched as DAPHNE for G&L SP Co., Glasgow.( never sailed for them)
After the accident she was salvaged re-named ROSE and joined the Laird
fleet in December 1883.
In summer of 1884 she ran aground on Arran.
Again she was salvaged , sold to J.Bell , Glasgow and renamed IANTHE
Ran aground yet again and once more salvaged and sold to Nav. Orientale (
P.Pataleon managers) SYRA, Greece, being renamed ELENI.
She survived without further mishap until the 1914-18 war , don't have the
details of her final demise to hand.
